An Important Update on Covid-19

On behalf of The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital’s Board of Directors and the Foundation team, I want to thank you for your partnership through philanthropy. Now more than ever, in these uncertain times we are reminded that we are better when we work together. You ensure BJC HealthCare can continue to serve the community through this time of crisis.

BJC HealthCare is at the forefront of the regional and national response and preparations for COVID-19. We invite you to stay apprised of the latest developments by regularly visiting the BJC COVID-19 website: bjc.org/coronavirus

The safety and well-being of our shared communities remains our highest priority. The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital, in keeping with the recommendations of the CDC and BJC HealthCare, has made the decision to proactively:

  • Cancel donor events through the end of May, including Leading Edge Medicine scheduled for May 12 and Legacy Circle Luncheon scheduled for May 14.

  • Institute social distancing strategies whereby all meetings or events of 10 or more people will be cancelled or conducted virtually or by phone. This includes offering all Foundation staff the opportunity to work remotely through mid-April.

This decision is not made lightly, but with the responsibility to do our part to keep our community safe. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected].

With your partnership, our medical leaders are addressing the pressing health needs of the community while driving innovative research to create novel solutions that will guide us through this crisis, and ensure a healthier future. Your partnership is vital - now more than ever.

With gratitude,

Susan Ell
Vice President and Executive Director
The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital

P.S. Investments made now in support of the Healthy Future Fund will drive rapid response efforts for COVID-19. If you would like to help, you can make a gift online. Thank you!
