Giving Tuesday Now: Together We Can Beat Covid-19
Monday, May 04, 2020
Giving Tuesday Now is a new global day of giving created to help meet the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. It takes place today, May 5, 2020, and is in addition to the regularly scheduled Giving Tuesday following Thanksgiving. Giving Tuesday Now is designed to drive generosity and community support for those on the frontline battling the pandemic.
Now more than ever, generosity is uniting people across the globe as communities find creative ways to show support, through sidewalk chalk and yard signs, meals for our frontline medical teams, city-wide rallies in honor of essential workers, and donations to support BJC HealthCare’s response efforts.
How You Can Help Us Fight Covid-19
BJC Healthcare is moving swiftly to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, and your gift helps ensure a rapid and impactful response.
While we can no longer join together in person, the Foundation continues to support community efforts around COVID-19. Right now, our physician-scientists at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine are collaborating to create solutions to combat this disease. Your support helps ensure frontline medical staff and researchers are able to:
-
Identify better testing methods
-
Provide enhanced patient care and caregiver protection
-
Accelerate research to create a vaccine to protect against this novel virus
Your investment today ensures our rapid response to the most urgent health care needs and priorities. The Healthy Future Fund (Area of Greatest Need) makes it possible for the Foundation to provide relief in crisis situations, such as current efforts related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
