2025 Illumination Gala | June 14
Illumination is The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital’s premier gala that raises money for cancer research at Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine. Illumination is truly an unforgettable evening of hope, entertainment, and philanthropy. Since 2007, this extraordinary gala has raised over $48 million to support more than 177 cancer research projects leading to new ways to prevent and treat cancer.
At The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital, donors recognized the gap in early-stage research funding needs, prompting the creation of the Cancer Frontier Fund. Since 2007, we have worked tirelessly to engage with partners who are motivated by investment in health innovation. Our experience has shown us that those who appreciate this high-risk and high-reward investment are, at heart, entrepreneurs who are unsatisfied with the status quo.
Given the reputation and expertise of the 450+ research scientists and physicians at Siteman, the next best idea in cancer innovation is being investigated—it just needs a philanthropic partner to hasten its arrival. The purpose behind Illumination is to seek partners who want to play a crucialrole in the fight against cancer. We hope you will join us!
